THE BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES

November 7-December 1, 2012

THE BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES deals with the dual reality of homosexual men and women, living half their lives in a closeted world and half their lives searching for an honest, open home. Combining humor, drama, and poignancy, THE BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES is a fascinating look into a largely hidden subculture in ultra-repressed America. Its playing style is reminiscent of the semi-melodramatic writing in Ann Bannon’s pulp novels. THE BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES is recommended for adults only.

THE BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES is being directed by veteran actor and gay icon Randall Jobe. The cast includes Elizabeth Marshall Black as Beebo Brinker, Steve Bullitt, Margaret Lewis, Darin Montemayor, Blake Weir, Autumn Clack, Taylor Biltoft, and Jennifer Doctorivich.

THE BEEBO BRINKER CHROINICLES will be presented November 7-December 1, 2012. All performances occur at Obsidian Art Space, 3522 White Oak, Houston, Tx. 77007. The performances on November 7 and 8 at 8pm benefit Bayou City Performing Arts, while the 3pm performance on November 25 benefits AssistHers. Regular performances are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday afternoons at 3pm. Benefit performance tickets are $25 and all regular tickets are $24.
